Winners of the Nobel Prizes are announced in October every year. They receive their awards - a prize amount, a gold medal and a diploma - on December 10, the anniversary of Nobel's death. The Nobel Prize Award Ceremonies and Nobel Banquet take place in Stockholm (for the Nobel Prizes in Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature and The Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel), and in Oslo (for the Nobel Peace Prize).
