The Nobel Stamps of 1992

The stamps, the first day cover illustration and the cancellation were designed by Eva Ede. The stamps were engraved by Czeslaw Slania and Piotr Naszarkowski and printed by recess at Sweden Post Stamps.

Nobel Literature Laureate Derek Walcott

The Nobel Prize in Literature is the one that attracts most interest. Over the years the Swedish Academy has sometimes selected Nobel Laureates from outside the western cultural sphere and both Latin America and Africa are represented. The first Literature Prize was awarded in 1901. 1992 was the first year when Sweden Post Stamps issued Nobel stamps with the Literature Laureate of the year.
