News from Nobelprize.org

September 28, 2007

It’s that time of year again. The next three weeks will see the announcement of all the 2007 Nobel Laureates, and this year Nobelprize.org offers more ways than ever to become part of the moment.

All announcements, except the one for the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo, will be broadcast live on the website. As always, they are scheduled for six separate days, so put the schedule in your calendar and catch whichever ones you can. At the very moment the announcement occurs, Nobelprize.org will be posting information on the Laureates and their work, including press releases from the Nobel Prize-Awarding Institutions and background information. Then, later that same day, we plan to post audio interviews with each of the new Laureates, capturing their reactions in those first, elated moments after hearing the news. For those wanting the story in a nutshell, we will also be posting ‘speed read’ summaries of each prize.

New for 2007 is the RSS feed, which will automatically alert you as soon as each of this year’s Nobel Prizes are announced, as well as updating you when interviews, photos, video clips, articles, Nobel Lectures and a whole lot more appear on the website following the Nobel Prize announcements. So sit back, and enjoy the show!
