George Francis Hagerup became Doctor
of Law in 1885 and was Professor of Law at the University
of Oslo in 1887-1906. In 1892 he became a member of the
Central Board of the Conservative Party (Høyre). He
was Minister of Justice in the period 1893-1895, Prime
Minister in 1895-1898 and again in 1903-1905. He was a
member of the Storting in 1900-1906. From 1906 he served as
a Norwegian diplomat. |
