Clip from the the Nobel Banquet, 10 December 2015: To the fanfares by two trumpeters, the Swedish Royal family, the Nobel Laureates and the guests of honour enter the Blue Hall in procession. In 1901 the first Nobel Banquet, held in the Hall of Mirrors of the Grand Hôtel, had 113 guests. Today the Nobel Banquet is served to about 1,350 guests.

The Gustaf Sjökvist Chamber Choir

The Gustaf Sjökvist Chamber Choir entertains the guests during the 2015 Nobel Banquet dinner. This year’s divertissement is an homage to Swedish music in modern times, and starts with ‘Anthem’ from the musical Chess by former ABBA members Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus. ‘Kärlekens tid’ (‘Time of Love’ or ‘Seasons of Love’) is written by Benny Andersson with lyrics by Ylva Eggehorn.

Anna Ternheim Performs 'Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely'

Anna Ternheim performs her personal interpretation of Max Martin and Herbie Crichlow’s global hit ‘Show me the meaning of being lonely’ during the Nobel Banquet 2015, heightening the Swedish sense of melancholy she feels in the song. In this special arrangement, Anna Ternheim sings and plays guitar − accompanied by a string octet and a saw.

Seinabo Sey Performs 'Poetic'

Seinabo Sey performs an exclusive version of her song ‘Poetic’ at the Nobel Banquet 2015 together with Salem Al Fakir on piano and Edvin Nahlin on laser harp.
