The more than 60 tables in the Blue Hall of the Stockholm City Hall are being prepared for about 1,350 guests. They are covered with some 500 metres of linen cloth from Klässbols Linneväveri in Sweden.

The meticulous table setting comprised no fewer than some 7,000 porcelain pieces, 5,400 glasses and 10,000 items of silverware.

Per Benjamin and his staff decorated the Blue Hall with flowers in many colours - from a blending of champagne, yellow and silver, via white and beige moss tones to all the clear pastel colours of late spring.

The Prince's Gallery was decorated with colourful floral carpets.

The tables are set with the Nobel tableware created for the 90th anniversary of the Nobel Prize in 1991 by three Swedish designers, Karin Bjorquist (Rörstrand/ Gustavsberg), Gunnar Cyrén (Orrefors) and Ingrid Dessau (Klässbols Linneväveri).

The starter, made of mainly Swedish ingredients, is served.
