Flávia Calé

Flávia Calé is a PhD student in the economic history program at the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences at the University of São Paulo.

Flávia Calé is a PhD student in the economic history program at the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences at the University of São Paulo. She has a master in economic history from the University of São Paulo (2021) and graduated in history from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2012). She was awarded a CNPq scholarship for her master’s degree and a CNPq scholarship for undergraduate scientific initiation, in which she researched and organised the collection of the Rio de Janeiro Workers’ Memory Archive – AMORJ.

Calé is a tutor at the Virtual University of the State of São Paulo and a member of the research group on the Old Colonial System at the Jaime Cortesão Chair based in the University of São Paulo. She was also president of the National Association of Postgraduate Students from 2018 to 2022 and member of the Superior Council of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) from 2018 to 2023, of which she is currently a member of its Technical-Scientific Council for Higher Education.
