Irma Eloff
Irma Eloff is Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Pretoria and a guest professor at the University of Innsbruck. She is also a registered educational psychologist.
Irma Eloff is Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Pretoria and a guest professor at the University of Innsbruck. She is also a registered educational psychologist. Irma is a member of the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf) and a founding member of the South African Positive Psychology Association (SAPPA). She served two terms as Dean of Education at the University of Pretoria. During this time, Irma was the founding chair of the African Deans of Education Forum (ADEF), which is a member of the UNESCO International Teacher Task Force. Currently, she is Chair of the Global Network of Deans of Education (GNDE), facilitating cooperation and exchanges of information and knowledge among national and regional associations of deans of education as well as conveying the views of teacher educators to various global initiatives and UN agencies. Irma has held visiting professorships at Yale University, Rhodes University, the University of Wisconsin and Fordham University in New York. Irma is an alumnus of the University of Pretoria, Stellenbosch University, North-West University and the GIBS Business School.
