Frances McDormand made her film debut in Ethan and Joel Coen’s ‘Blood Simple’ (1984). She continues to work regularly with the Coen brothers. She received an Academy Award for her work in ‘Fargo’ (1996) and’ Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ (2017). McDormand has received Academy Award nominations for ‘Mississippi Burning’ (1988), ‘Almost Famous’ (2000), ‘North Country’ (2005), and ‘Nomadland’ (2020). McDormand can be seen in the forthcoming ‘The French Dispatch’ (2021), and ‘The Tragedy of Macbeth’ (2021).McDormand won an Emmy award for her work in ‘Olive Kitteridge’ (2015). In addition to her work in film and television, McDormand has performed widely in the theater, both on and off Broadway. She won a 2011 Tony Award for Best Actress in David Lindsay-Abaire’s ‘Good People’, and she works frequently with The Wooster Group.
