Johanna Wallenius is a professor in the department of economics at Stockholm School of Economics. Prior to joining the department, she received her Ph.D. from Arizona State University in 2010. Her research interests are in the fields of macroeconomics, labour economics, public finance and household economics.

Wallenius is particularly interested in understanding the effect of government policies on employment. Her work has been published in leading economics journals, including the American Economic Review and the Quarterly Journal of Economics. Wallenius is also a Wallenberg Academy Fellow, and a co-editor for the Scandinavian Journal of Economics.
