Motivation:Prof Rudolph Kraus, National Institute of Hygiene (Institut national d´hygiène), Buenos Aires, AR, was nominated for blood research, especially diagnosis of cholera, typhus and other diseases through specific precipitation; work in combatting epidemics during war. Nominator was Prof Alfred Kohn of Prague, CZ. Nomination was declared invalid by the Nobel Committee.
