Jackson, London, GB, was nominated for his work, from the study of Jacksonian epilepsy and the lesions in diseases of the brain, to determine the relation of different parts of the cortex of the brain to the movement of the different parts of the body. Nominator was prof F.M. Sandwith, London, GB. Nomination was declared invalid by the Nobel Committee.
