Comments: The nominator suggested that the prize ought to be divided between Lord Weardale and Descamps. Philip Stanhope was elevated to the peerage in 1905 and he became First Baron Weardale of Stanhope. Before he entered the House of Lords in 1905 he had been a member of the House of Commons 1886-1900 and 1904-1905.
