Nobelpriset i litteratur år 2021 tilldelas romanförfattaren Abdulrazak Gurnah, född på Zanzibar och verksam i England,

”för att kompromisslöst och med stor medkänsla ha genomlyst kolonialismens verkningar och flyktingens öde i klyftan mellan kulturer och kontinenter”.
