Interview

Following the announcement, Professor Juleen Zierath, a Member of the Nobel Committee for Physiology or Medicine, summarized the key discoveries made by the two Laureates which led to the award of this year’s prize. She also explained how their discoveries in basic science have opened “a whole new frontier” of research into potential clinical applications, citing several examples.
