Announcement of the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), presented by Thorbjørn Jagland, Chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, on 11 October 2013.

Following the announcement, Thorbjørn Jagland, Chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, was interviewed by freelance journalist Geir Helljesen regarding the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize.

Thorbjørn Jagland, Chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee comments on the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize as a disarmament Prize which sends a message inside, outside and to the world about the need for global conventions to do away with weapons of mass destruction.
